Fancy afternoon tea in a stunning setting? Well, Lochgreen House Hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for an escape in their beautiful venue with a window view of their stunning grounds.
The perfect setting
Lochgreen is beautiful venue. Depending when you go, you can sometimes see weddings happening outside of the restaurant window. The restaurant is lovely and very chilled. It’s spacious and has a bar at one end. The room features stained glassed windows too which is a nice addition.
Spoilt for choice
You do get a lovely selection of treats with your afternoon tea and we visited recently so can share what we got.
We enjoyed the following. Note that the options may vary and they may be able to cater for adjustments depending on likes/dislikes.
- Scones with Jam and clotted cream.
- Selection of sandwiches.
- Sausage rolls.
- Haggis Bon-Bon’s.
- Quiche.
- Selection of 6 cakes. They we’re all lovely and the orange one tasted like Jaffa cakes!
Prices and booking
So how do you go about booking the afternoon tea? Simply head over to the voucher page on the Lochgreen website. Once there, filter the ‘all vouchers’ drop down to ‘Afternoon Teas’. You’ll then be presented with three different packages for afternoon tea, one with Champagne, one with Prosecco and the cheaper one where you’ll be provided with tea and coffee. We’ve only experienced the alcohol free deal so we’ll talk about that option.
You’ll get pots of tea and/or coffee along with a selection of savoury and sweet items as shown in the images above. Cost wise, this is £35 per person and you can choose up to 6 guests on the voucher which is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
This deal can get a bit pricey depending on how many people are going but we went as a two and it was a total of £70. We didn’t have to add any money to it and it was a lovely experience and the weather was lovely which made it even more enjoyable.
Your voucher will be instantly delivered to your email after making the payment. If you’re buying this as a gift, you can choose email or physically go to the venue and get a printed voucher than you can give as a gift.

Take a stroll
Lochgreen is set in over 30 acres of manicured gardens and private woodland which guests can enjoy. The grounds also feature views of the Royal Troon golf course and the Firth of Clyde. It’s also a short walk/drive from Troon so you can explore everything Troon has to offer with its town and stunning beach.
